Cosmic Questions

Tiny ponderings about a very big universe.

Cosmic Questions takes the small puzzles of ordinary life seriously. Why does your own voice sound strange on a recording? Why does the moon look bigger near the horizon? Why is the way back always shorter? These are questions almost everyone has asked and almost nobody has looked up.

Each piece starts from one question and follows the research that tries to answer it — psychology, physiology, physics, perception. The answers are real: articles are written with the help of AI, checked against at least two independent sources, at least one of them published research, a university or an official body (or, when the question is about a word, an established dictionary), and those sources are listed at the end. Where science has not settled a question, the article says so plainly instead of pretending to a neat answer.

What makes these different from a quick search result is the patience. We explain the mechanism, show what the studies actually measured, and point out the common myths along the way. Some answers are surprising, some are gently funny, and a few end with an honest "nobody knows yet".
